Safety Training

Forklift operator

The 4-hour forklift class trains students on the safe operation of forklifts and other industrial truck types. Students will have the opportunity to learn knowledge in the classroom as well as practice hands-on with their own equipment. We will provide a forklift evaluation to ensure all learning objectives have been met.

Aerial Lift Operator

The 4-hour Aerial Lift course covers the hazards associated with Aerial lifts, as well as how to operate one safely and mitigate risks.

Fall Protection

The 4-hour Fall Protection class is designed to give those working at heights the knowledge and skills needed to carry out their jobs in a safe and effective manner. Falls are one of the leading causes of casualty in the industry, but our class will cover some of the potentially life-saving measures, such as harnesses, anchor requirements, and more.

Crane & Rigging Training

Qualified Rigger

Our 8-hour qualified rigger class will provide students with in depth knowledge and hands-on training for the basic rigging principles. We will go over ASME B30.26, ANSI A10.42, OSHA 1926.1400, and ASME B30.9 In addition, students will learn load calculation, sling tension calculation, rigging hitches and knots, hand signals, and much more.

NCCCO Rigger Level 1 & Signalperson

Our Rigger Level 1 & Signalperson workshop will prepare students for the NCCCO certification exam. We will combine classroom learning with real-world practical training to ensure students are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain their certification.

Lift Director

The role of a Lift Director is essential for carrying out safe and precise lifting operations on the job-site. Our class will explain the duties of a Lift Director, as well as how to prepare a lift plan. We will give students the opportunity to prepare a lift plan together in the class for hands-on training.

Crane & Rigging for Management

This 6-8 hour course will provide a deeper understanding of cranes, how they operate, how to prepare them for jobs, and much more to supervisors, foremen, or directors. If you are in a management position but want a better understanding of things like load charts, tandem lifts, basic rigging principles and more, this class is for you.

Advanced Rigging

The 8-hour Advanced Rigging course is designed to follow up to our Qualified Rigger course. In this class, we will build off of the basic principles of rigging and delve deeper into topics such as load center of gravity calculation, rigging and sling inspection, tandem lift center of gravity calculation, and more.

NTS also offers customized written test prep courses to help students prepare for their NCCCO certifications. We are proud to offer test prep for the following certifications: Fixed Cab (TSS), Swing Cab (TLL), Lattice Boom (LAT), Overhead Crane (OVR), Articulating Boom Crane (ABC), Articulating Boom Crane with Wench (ABW), Service Truck Crane (STC), Tower Crane (TWR).
